Students discuss issues of diversity including race, ethnicity, heritage, sexual orientation, religion, minority/majority issues, physical appearance and language.

http://glimpse.org/ Glimpse is an online magazine for study abroad students supported by National Geographic. There are many articles written by students about issues of identity and diversity.
LGBTQ Resources
http://www.indiana.edu/~overseas/lesbigay/student.htm This resource guide comes from the professional association for study abroad and foreign student advisors. It provides LGBTQ students considering study abroad with general information to consider as they look into study abroad programs as well as specific information on selected countries and regions.
http://ilga.org The International Lesbian & Gay Association is another advocacy group for LGBTQ rights around the world. Its worldwide legal survey provides a comprehensive overview of the legal position of LGBTQ in nearly every country.
http://www.gay.com/travel/destinations Gay.com's travel section is aimed primarily at tourists, but provides very useful information about gay life in variety of major cities around the globe.
Disability Resources
http://www.miusa.org/ Mobility International USA is a cross-disability organization serving those with cognitive, hearing, learning, mental health-related, physical, systemic, vision and other disabilities. Their Disability Organization's search feature provides disability specific information for particular countries and, in some cases, regions or cities.
http://www.transitionsabroad.com/listings.travel/disability/ Transitions Abroad publishes a bimonthly magazine geared toward young and budget-minded travelers, particularly study abroad students, upon whom the magazine relies very heavily for article contributions. This section of the website is a repository for disability-related travel articles.
http://www.independentliving.org/studyworkabroad/ This section of the Independent Living Institute's website provides basic information on the legal accomodations as well as some links to specific universities' websites including information about local conditions as well as the organizations.
http://www.ciee.org/program_resources/knowledge/disability.aspx CIEE is a third-party study abroad program provider that has over 120 summer and semester programs around the world, many of which are approved by Georgetown. This webpage provides students with general information to consider as they look into any study abroad program.
