Insurance While Studying Abroad

Health Insurance

All students on a GU-approved overseas studies program are automatically enrolled in the GU Education Study Abroad Health Insurance Plan. This comprehensive coverage provides exceptional benefits at a reasonable rate. These benefits are available twenty-four hours a day and include travel assistance support services and coverage for medical evacuation. The policy has up to $500,000 of coverage with no deductible.

Insurance cards and a copy of the current policy are distributed at site-specific orientations. It is essential for students to read the information as well as the description of coverage and the procedures required to use it overseas. By learning more about this insurance coverage prior to travel, students will be better prepared to get routine or emergency medical care abroad. To view and print a claim form or to see the instructions for submitting a claim, please visit www.studyabroadinsurance.com.

Emergency Evacuation Insurance

All students on a GU-approved overseas studies program are also automatically covered by International SOS for emergency evacuation coverage.  For more information on this policy, please visit the website below.
